Farthings is converted from 2 cottages, orginally built in the early 1840's as part of the Rashleigh Estate. The cottages were converted into one dwelling during 2006. On the coast road to Fowey from St Austell, Farthings is only a few minutes walk to Par Sands beach and SouthWest coast path.

Farthings offers 3 rooms, all with private facilities; 2 Double and 1 Single. Each room has colour television, radio alarm and tea & coffee making facilities. A good breakfast is served, using local produce whenever possible.

There is a good selection of pubs close by, some within walking distance. All of the pubs serve both good food as well as good beers !

The local attractions include; the Eden Project-3 miles, the literary town of Fowey-3 miles, Lanhydrock House and Garden near Bodmin, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Restormel Castle and the town of Lostwithiel, Charlestown's Georgian harbour and Mevagissey's working fishing village
