Elmswood House is situated in the historic village of Tywardreath, located between St Austell & Fowey, and just 4 miles from the Eden Project, with the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Mevagissey, local beaches and so many popular attractions nearby. Daphne du Maurier was inspired to feature the lovely rural village of Tywardreath in her classic novel 'The House on the Strand'.
Our comfortable, family-run, 7 bedroom hotel offers single, double, twin and ground floor, family en suite rooms. All rooms are beautifully appointed, featuring quality bedding with Egyptian cotton sheets, colour television, tea & coffee making facilities plus many extras.
Our guests can relax in the Licensed Lounge Bar, the Guest Lounge or in our sunny gardens which enjoy lovely views over the sweeping valley landscape.

The village is served by the Fowey-St Austell-Mevagissey bus service and Par railway station - on the main London - Penzance, Aberdeen - Penzance lines - is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Newquay Airport is a 20 minute drive and for motorists we have a a private car park.
