The Barton is midway between The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project and just 3 miles from the coast at Pentewan. The Cornish Way, cycling and walking trail, runs down from St Austell to Mevagissey, via the Pentewan Valley, Pentewan village by the lovely sandy beach and along the coach road up to Heligan Gardens. Hire a bike from Pentewan Valley Cycle Hire - free delivery to the Barton B&B. Or visit the many other major attractions of the Cornish Riviera - Charlestown, Fowey, Pine Lodge & Tregrehan Gardens etc
The Barton offers 2 bedrooms; 1 Double & 1 Single with joint use of a Private bathroom. The rooms are therefore available for letting as a Double, a Single or a 'Family' with Private bathroom - very convenient for friends travelling together.
A good Cornish breakfast, using fresh, local produce whenever possible, is served in the large kitchen with 'farm style' breakfast table.
The Barton has a large, hilside garden plus 4 acres of woodlands above the house. Guests are welcome to explore the woods and relax in the garden.
Pets are welcome and a dog sitting service is available for guests wishing to visit the Eden Project which does not admit dogs and has only a small area of shaded parking.
Smokers are welcome. Smoking is not allowed in the bedrooms but guests may smoke elsewhere in the house and garden.
The Barton's owner keeps and breeds Alpacas and also runs classes on spinning Alpaca wool.
