Blakes Cottage is on the cliffs in Mevagissey, directly on the coastal path, overlooking the village, harbour and out to sea. This area is central for visiting all of Cornwall. Close by are the Lost Gardens of Heligan and within a short drive; The Eden Project, Charlestown, Pine Lodge Gardens, Fowey and Lanhydrock House & Gardens. Mevagissey is at the head of the Roseland Peninsula and enjoys safe & secluded beaches, stunning views from the many coastal walks, many maintained by the National Trust.
Mevagissey is well supplied with restaurants, cafes, pubs and other hostelries. Several offer a take-away service and are just a few minutes walk from the cottage.
The cottage comprises; lounge, kitchen/diner, bathroom and double bedroom - enjoying fine views - on the ground floor. The first floor has 2 further bedrooms; 1 with twin bunkbeds and 1 with a single bed. Electricity is included in the rates. Bring you own linen and towels or our housekeeper can arrange linen hire for your holiday.
The lounge has comfortable seating for 5 people, with coffe table, colour television, DVD & Video recorder. The lounge has fine seaviews across Mevagissey Bay.
The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, ironing board & highchair. There is enough crockery and utensils etc for at least 6 people. The bathroom/toilet leads off the kitchen via a small lobby.
The main bedroom has a double bed,wardrobe,cupboard and dressing table. It enjoys fantastics views - a full panorama of the sea, harbour and much of the village.
The second bedroom has 3ft bunk beds. The third bedroom with single bed and cot is entered via the second bedroom. All beds have duvets.
Outside is a courtyard, shared with one other cottage.
Car parking can generally be arranged for your stay.
